SAVING OUR PLANET   COLLABORATING IN WASTE MANAGEMENT FROM HOME Why is waste management important to the environment?  Reduces production costs an incredible benefit of waste management is it can cut overall production costs in the long run.  Recycling helps to conserve natural resources such as glass, plastic, paper and oil. Reusing these materials will place less strain on our natural resources and lower the cost of production. APPROPRIATE WAY TO MANAGE WASTE IN MY HOME Proper home waste management is seriously important for the community and it has a lot of social importance. This is because if each household disposes too much of waste, then that can cause a lot of degradation in the environment. It will lead to too much of pollution, spread of germs that in turn, will cause lot of outbreak of diseases, some of them may be life-threatening too. Elaborated by: Stefania Nicole Pr

PROTECT OF YOURSELF AND EARTH PLANET Actions we do on a daily basis, sometimes affect our health and the planet. Doing this research, I learned that we can collaborate with the protection of the environment.  Therefore, I started collaborating with the good management of solid waste in my home.  I prepared three containers with plastic, paper or cardboard and glass and   find out how much waste we have, I did my research during three weeks. FIRST WEEK                      SECOND WEEK                       THIRD WEEK In this way I realized that we must avoid the use of many of these products that in the long term affect the life of our planet. One of the most important things I have learned was that I can separate solids, and people can use them in the best way, so those solids will reuse. Some people work collecting these ones. If we organize them correctly and put in a right place, we are doing something good for our planet. HEALTHY HABITS PROTECT OURSELVES AND TO SAVE PLANET EART

SAD PLANET EARTH CRYING Solid waste damps are seriously spoiling the environmental conditions in developing countries. An inefficient municipal solid waste management system may create serious negative environmental impacts like  infectious diseases, land and water pollution, obstruction of drains and loss of biodiversity. During my search on the internet and according to the actions that damage the environment, I recommend some ways to manage solid waste at home to collaborate with the protection of the environment. APPROPRIATE WAY TO MANAGE WASTE AT HOME Separate the waste  Avoid plastics Buy food that has minimal packaging Compost the kitchen waste Donate items whenever possible. The key takeaway for better waste management is to recycle glass, metal, clothing, and certain plastics.  Be thrifty and use old rags for wiping, washing etc., and avoid buying overly packaged food.    If every household made a conscientious effort to manage household waste, we could put an end to the p

PROTECTING OUR PLANET STARTS WITH US When we talk  about healthy habits to protect ourselves , we can take into consideration the protection of the planet.  If our planet is sick , we are going to be unsafe . After my own  investigation on the web about all things that are affecting our planet, I listed  a few of healthy habits to benefit the conservation of our planet, throught waste management practices and good health practices in the situation of the covid -19 pandemic. Bike more, drive less. RRR : Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Plant a tree Educate : When you study , you get useful knowledge, and you can help others undestand the importance and value of our natural resources. Clean up our neighborhood. Conserve water Buy less plastic and using a reusable shopping bag. Do not send chemicals into your waterways Change the old bulbs for long lasting light bulbs. Separate the waste at home in a correct way. Give the things you are not going to use others, Use the mask in a right way to cov

SOLID WASTE CAN DESTROY THE PLANET At home we can see different kinds of solid waste. I did an investigation about different methods of disposal of the waste. Name a few methods of waste disposal. Landfill. Incineration. Waste compaction. But not all of them are good for our planet and health. That is why I believe that if we learn to separate the waste correctly we not only avoid destroying it incorrectly but we collaborate with the collectors who see in this waste a source of income and in this way if we do not destroy them, the factories do it that if they are equipped with the technology to do it without affecting the planet.  I collected three boxes of solids: paper and cardboard; plastics and glass, during three weeks . If just at home I collect a lot, I couldn´t imagine how can be in my neighborhood.   When food waste is sent to landfill, it decomposes. As it decomposes it releases methane gas. As written above, methane gas is a greenhouse gas which c
