HEALTHY PEOPLE, HEALTHY PLANET

Preserving our planet has never been as critical as it is now.

World population keeps growing, we are consuming resources at a rate the planet can’t sustain, are oceans are filling up with garbage, our waterways and soils are filling up with toxic chemicals, our climate is changing, natural habitats are being destroyed, species are becoming endangered at a faster rate than ever before and we are at a point where we need to take action.


Sometimes we believe that what we eat is what keeps us healthy, and that when we eat we do not affect the planet.

There are many habits we have to change if we want to conserve our planet in good condition.



I was investigating about the bad habits people have and in which matter we can change them for our best.

In the poster above, there are some of them.

  • If we want to go to the park, most of the time we prefer to go by car. We can change the car for a bike and we are avoiding pollution because of the car.
  • Practice the three R: reduce, reuse and recycle.
  • If we go to the supermarket we must avoid the use of plastic bags, it is better ecological bags.
  • Everytime we have the opportunity, we must plant a tree.
  • Have correct waste management practices.
  • Turn off the light  if  it is not necessary. 
  • Avoid bathtubs , it´s better to use shower to save water.
  •  Use eco products
  • Make homemade desserts
During covid-19 pandemic we must practice good health habits too.
  • Stay at  home to avoid contact with other people
  • Wear a face covering to cover our mouth and nose
  • Keep up with hand hygiene
  • Avoid touching our mouth, nose and eyes.
All we do to save our planet and ourselves is not enough.

I propose to continue writing blogs to share important information that will benefit us and the planet.
